RECENT EVENTS
"Interdisciplinary Approaches to Medical Solutions" A focus group meeting, bringing together medical practitioners and textile and material scientists and engineers, to promote interdisciplinary interactions, define needs and possibilities and exploit new R&D pathways to create new medical solutions.
The workshop will be facilitated by short presentations from the two main disciplines (medical and advanced materials), and structured allocated time for discussions, questions and networking. The marriages of interested parties and the formation of consortia for new research projects will be encouraged.
This event is organised by Heriot-Watt University Research Institute for Flexible Materials (RIFleX), in collaboration of St James's University Hospital Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics Surgery. It is supported by Inneurotex, the European platform for Textile Innovation.

Who Should Attend Academics, medical practitioners and industrialists are welcomed to attend this interdisciplinary event, where the focus will be to bring groups together in order to undertake new R&D projects.
Participation Fee This event is non-profit making, focusing on networking, interdisciplinary interactions and explorations of new R&D possibilities. A participation fee of £50 (inc. VAT) per delegate is required to cover organisation and administrative costs. This fee covers attendance to the event, workshop documents, coffee breaks and lunch.
